“Honest-to-goodness”, that’s my father-in-law’s fave expression. When I had a sip of this homemade almond milk those words just popped into my head If you’re getting tired of your store-bought milk, I dare you to try making your own almond milk. It’s easy. It’s fun. It’s nutritious. And it doesn’t involve milking a cow or any animal for that matter.
- Drinking water (1L)
- Almonds (150g)
- Soak almonds in filtered/mineral water overnight
- Drain water
- Place almonds in blender
- Add water
- Blend until almonds are fine
- Filter almond milk using fine mesh strainer
- Place in a glass jar
- Store in fridge
This homemade almond milk is amazing for veggie and fruit smoothies. You can also use it for making coffee and tea latte.Now I just have to figure out what to do with my almond meal.
